What could be the best winter holiday? Skiing down a slope of pristine snow while joyously watching your family having the same enjoyment is as close to perfection as anyone can get. The wind is in your face, the weather is just cold enough for snow, the resort is perfect, and everyone in the family is having the time of their lives. Then you wake up. The resort is old, there is little to no snow because the resort is too cheap to use the fake snow, and your bed is so old you can't sleep. What is wrong with this picture? Many resorts offer luxurious suites which include amenities like whirlpool tubs, cable television, and high speed Internet access. Some feature fitness centers and spas on the premises where guests can exercise or get pampering treatments like massages and facials. Then there's the shopping and dining. Most ski resorts offer incredible stores and boutiques, and great restaurants. At your average ski resort, you'll find great lodges, cafes, fine eateries, and buzzing night spots. Many skiers and snowboarders head to the ski lodge after hitting the slopes for a warm beverage or cocktail. For some, it's a tradition!
While most ski resorts offer great features for vacationers, some are definitely better than others. Sometimes, the most expensive resorts are not always the best.
